CITY) December 3, 2008 -- Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner-elect Dana
Murphy, R-Edmond, is ensuring she has a team ready from day one with
the selection of her administrative aide and assistant.
Murphy, who will be sworn in on Jan. 12, today announced she has
selected attorney Teryl L. Williams as her aide and veteran journalist
Billie L. Rodely as her assistant.
"I'm excited, humbled, and grateful for this opportunity to serve the
people of Oklahoma," Murphy said. "Oklahomans expect and deserve
effective leadership ready to address the important issues facing the
Commission. Having a capable, experienced, knowledgeable team by my
side will help me achieve what I've pledged to do."
Williams currently works at the Commission as a senior staff attorney
handling public utility cases. Her prior experience includes
administrative labor and employment law, civil litigation and criminal
law.
Rodely is a nationally-acclaimed journalist with more than 35 years of
experience in radio and television. She has received numerous awards
for her research, reporting, editing, anchoring, writing and production
skills.
"Both of these dedicated, qualified individuals have experience with
the Commission, are familiar with the issues and are prepared to hit
the ground running," Murphy said.
