(Oklahoma City, OK) Dana Murphy, candidate for Corporation Commission,
has received the endorsement of Rep. Sue Tibbs and Rep. Pam Peterson,
both of Tulsa. Rep. Tibbs serves on the State Legislature's Energy and
Technology Committee and has been honored as Woman of the Year. Rep.
Peterson is the chairwoman of the Children and Families Committee and
former majority whip of the State House of Representatives.
"I
am so honored to have the endorsement of these two distinguished
legislators. I appreciate their support and I am truly humbled by it,"
said Murphy.
"I chose to endorse Dana because she is truly
the most qualified candidate," said Tibbs. "We need only the best, most
qualified individuals serving at the Commission, and I know Dana Murphy
is the best person for the job."
"With her exemplary qualifications and experience, Dana Murphy will serve us well at the Corporation Commission," said Peterson.
Murphy
worked as a geologist in the oil patch for 10 years and even gave
expert geological testimony at the Corporation Commission. She then
earned her law degree, and after years of practicing law, Murphy served
as an Administrative Law Judge at the Corporation Commission for nearly
six years. She currently owns and operates her own Energy Law practice
where she represents mineral owners and producers. She was awarded the
2001 Corporation Commissioners' Public Servant Award for her work
inside and outside of the Commission and was named a 2007 Outstanding
Woman in Energy by Energy Advocates.
