8 Days and Counting to the Finish Line E-mail
Monday, 19 July 2010 17:09

Dear Friends,

This week seemed one of the busiest ever with many events including those close to home and those across the State! Both fundraising events this week were very successful and helped cap a quarterly fundraising cycle that was terrific, just shy of $180,000. Thanks to so many of you for your generosity and support to help me head into July 27th with lots of momentum!

All three radio commercials are now airing on radio stations across the Oklahoma! You can listen to them right from the website at: http://www.danamurphy.com/radio-ads-murphymedia-64.html

You can also still check out the photos and recent events that I continue to share on my website and on Facebook from events across the state by going to: http://www.danamurphy.com/on-the-trail-mainmenu-32.html The next 8 days will be busy, so please make sure to check back often to catch the latest photos.

This past week the Commissioners heard the proposed settlement proposed in OG&E's Crosswinds Wind Farm case, yet another $300+ million case. After hearing the testimony of witnesses and the statements of all the parties to the case, the case was taken under advisement for further consideration and a final decision as to whether to support the settlement agreement. You can view filings in the wind farm case at:

http://www.occeweb.com/Windfarm/windfarm.html Also, this past week, a technical conference was held at the Commission for all the companies and attorneys who will be dealing with new and updated Commission oil and gas rules including those involving horizontal drilling. At least one more conference will be scheduled to make sure everyone has an opportunity to ask questions and become familiar with the rule changes. Also, starting this week, producers will now be able to fill out spud reports, completion reports and commingling applications on-line.

Also, for those of you living in the 918 Area Code, don't forget to check out recent information on upcoming dialing changes at:

http://www.occeweb.com/918-539%20Schedule%20FAQs.pdf I shared the details of the changes this past week at several events in Tulsa and continue to encourage those in the 918 area code to become familiar with the upcoming changes that will affect them.

My last fundraising event prior to July 27th will be at the beautiful new home of Eddie and Tashia Rongey in Kiefer (near Sapulpa) on July 21st. All donations are appreciated! (Details on the left sidebar) I hope to see you there!

Since there is no Democrat running for this seat, in 8 days this election will be over! SPECIAL THANKS to all of you who have stepped up and given more in addition to your initial contribution. If you have not yet contributed, I hope you will now. A contributor slip can be printed directly from my website and mailed with your donation or you can make a donation directly on-line at: http://www.danamurphy.com/donate-supportdana-42.html

Because there will be so many candidate watch parties in various locations during the evening of July 27th, I am encouraging my supporters to attend the watch parties of their favorite GOP candidates in other races. I plan to try stopping by as many as I can in the metro OKC area to express my thanks to those who put their name on the ballot and worked hard to win on July 27th! We should be proud of the many great GOP candidates that we have to select from this year. I hope to see you at one of the watch parties!

Again, thanks for ALL your efforts on my behalf and most of all for your vote on July 27th!

God Bless,

Your Commissioner, Dana
