Dear Friends,

 

Wow…what can I say, but THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping us win such a hard fought race! Your grassroots efforts + significant donor dollars + a well qualified candidate = VICTORY. I also have an extra special thanks to give to my campaign team – Jaylynn, Connor, Kay, Stephen, my NW Oklahoma family - and most of all, my most incredible Mother who did so much for me in the last weeks.

 

I want to say a special thanks as well to Representative Rob Johnson for his gracious endorsement of me. I very much appreciate the ongoing support and endorsements that continue to come from all those who supported Rob, including Rob’s dad, Senator Mike Johnson. I know many of you, like me, wish Rob the best and know that many great opportunities lie ahead for him.

 

With just enough time to catch my breath, we are already working hard preparing for the November 4th election against Corporation Commission appointee, Jim Roth. We know we are facing a tough battle with a well-funded opponent, but an opponent who will be running on the same Democratic ticket as Barack Obama and Andrew Rice.

 

This Corporation Commission race is truly about which candidate will best serve the interests of ALL Oklahomans. That’s why I’m running. We need to make sure that the next Corporation Commissioner is a watchdog for interests of consumers.

 

To do that, I must continue to raise money so that our message can be heard.  Fighting the big special interest groups will take a lot of money. Right now my opponent has a big cash advantage over me. As a 5th Generation Oklahoman, I have a deep abiding love for our state.  I was born and raised here, went to school here and worked here my entire life.  I share your conservative Oklahoma values.  I want to give back to the State that has given me and my family so very much.

 

My opponent doesn’t share your concerns or values. He’s just another career bureaucrat looking for his next step up the government ladder.  He’s more concerned about pleasing the big monied special interest groups that support him than he is about working for the people of Oklahoma.
