Dear Friends,
It is always such a blessing to be able to celebrate the talented,
heroic, beautiful women in our lives. Yesterday I had the opportunity
to celebrate my mother, Carol Murphy, who has always been my biggest
fan, advocate and one of my greatest role models. Along with my Dad,
she taught me some of life's most valuable lessons, and raised me and
my 3 brothers to be respectful, hard-working, appreciative and most
importantly, to love the Lord. I am truly blessed with the most
incredible mother and family. On another note, in the midst of my own
blessings, I do not want to miss extending my prayers and thoughts to
those Oklahomans suffering from this weekend’s storms.
The Murphy Mobile has been going non-stop across the state meeting
fantastic Oklahomans. On Saturday we visited Broken Arrow for the
Rooster Days Festival and then we traveled south to Stephens County to
visit with our Republican friends for their annual Fish Fry. We had a
marvelous time and look forward to seeing them soon along the
campaign trail.
We are always on the lookout for great volunteers just like you! You
can sign up by calling Jaylynn at 405-607-6677 or e-mailing us at

If you can help us financially, whether it's $5 or $50 or even $100, by
check or on-line donation, every dollar you donate is an investment to
make sure the best qualified and most experienced Oklahoman will be
elected to represent Oklahoma's interests at the Corporation Commission.
It is hard to believe, but July 29th, the date of the primary, is just
11 short weeks from tomorrow. The countdown is on and working together,
we can win!
Victory in '08!

Dear Friends,
Festival
season is coming into full swing, and I am continuing to work hard to
visit and participate in community events all across the State. It was
terrific being with the College Republicans at their annual GOP
Convention last Saturday and I give a special shout-out to those young
Oklahoma Republicans who took time on a beautiful Saturday to
participate. I have been keeping my Mom very busy on the campaign trail
and while I was with College Republicans, she drove the Murphy Mobile
in the Norman 89er Days Parade, with the help of my cousins. They did a
terrific job representing my campaign!

Dear Friends,
Yes…despite some of last week's hail and storms, spring is truly in the air in Oklahoma! It
continues to be a great time for traveling the State on the campaign
trail. On days like today, it's easy to feel the motivation to hit the
roads and continue to take my message to Oklahoma voters-- that I am
the best qualified candidate with the most experience and I would love
to serve as Oklahoma's next Corporation Commissioner.

Dear Wonderful Friends,
I'm finding
myself busier than ever traveling across our great state while also
working hard to maintain my commitments to my family, community, and
legal practice. The Murphy-Mobile will probably log well over 50,000
miles before all is said and done!

Dear Friends,
Many
of you might know the postal carrier's creed "Neither snow nor rain nor
heat nor gloom of night, stays these couriers from the swift completion
of their appointed rounds", and that certainly seemed to ring true in
early March for me as a candidate (and for the candidate's Mom). My
Mom travelled up from the ranch to join me in a southern Oklahoma swing
which began with rain and snow in Ardmore,
then onto warm and windy Duncan, Altus and leaving at night from
Mangum. While one of the best parts about campaigning is traveling
across our great state and meeting so many wonderful people, the best is even better when my Mom travels with me.

Dear Friends,
For
me it is hard to believe that February has almost come and gone. It is
a good thing February had 29 days this year instead of 28, as I have
needed all the days to make it to so many places across Oklahoma. One of the best parts about campaigning is traveling across our
great state, meeting so many wonderful people and having the
opportunity to tell my story and talk about why I am certain I am best
person to be your next Corporation Commissioner. Thanks to all of you
who took time to come out and share your thoughts. Your encouragement
and support are overwhelming.

Dear Friends,
Recovery
from the December ice storms and record breaking prices for a barrel of
oil were just some of the news on the minds of many of us Oklahomans to
start off January. It has been a busy month for our campaign as well.

Dear Friends,
With politics dominating news around the world, this time of year is
perfect for a little "Silent Night" (and day). Christmas is the time to
remind ourselves there is but one reason to celebrate:
"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11
The
baby in Bethlehem's manger was a gift, a present from a loving heavenly
Father to his lost and hurting children, a gift the Bible says brought
"good tidings of great joy" to the giver and receiver alike.
During Christmas
I will be able to spend some time with my mom and brothers, nieces and
nephews, extended family and friends. Like most folks, we will be
opening presents, eating too much, and having fun. But it's also a time to share, just like God
shared his Son with us. I hope each of you will take a few moments to
share with those in need.
My
family and I will also take time to remember what's important in our
lives. It's not the meal, presents, or the days off work. It is, and
always will be, about the blessings we receive from a God who loves us
so.
I wish for all of you peace and joy this Christmas season. We'll get back to politics later.
Have a Merry and Blessed Christmas,
Dana

Welcome to the inaugural edition of
Murphy Mail, our official e-newsletter! I hope this Thanksgiving finds you
happy, blessed and surrounded by loved ones. To those so far from family
and home, my family in Western Oklahoma and I especially want to pause and
send our thanks, prayers and ongoing support to those brave Oklahoma
military men and women serving our country all over the world. We
also pause to give thanks for the blessing of living in America and this great State of Oklahoma.

“We are pleased to support our friend Dana for Corporation Commissioner. In
addition to her excellent character and work ethic, Dana is highly
qualified by her education and experience – including those years
already spent at the Corporation Commission – to represent all
Oklahomans as a Corporation Commissioner. Vote for Dana!”
